Plans for Levittown's 60th Anniversary have begun and the Planning Committee has been meeting regularly to begin to put together ideas for the celebration that will begin late in 2006 and include a parade in September 2007.

Louise Cassano, who co-chaired the 50th Anniversary Committee with Nassau County Legislator Dennis Dunne Sr., and Kevin Regan, President of the Levittown Chamber of Commerce and Executive Director of the Levittown Island Trees Youth Council, have been selected as co-chairs of the Planning Committee.

Town of Hempstead Supervisor Kate Murray has graciously accepted the Committee's invitation to be Honorary Chair of the Anniversary celebration.

This is an invitation to you to become involved with planning this celebration by attending upcoming meetings, spreading the word to your friends, neighbors, business associates, and attending events as they take place.
